Hello everyone ,Sorry I haven’t posted anything lately ive been to busy keeping up with the storms in the plains the late week / weekend. Below is a recap of what went on this week in the plains. I have included lots of radar screen grabs so you all can understand the severity of these storms better. Also included are the SPC Outlooks from Thursday ,Friday ,and Saturday.

Thursday SPC Briefing
Shown here is the SPC outlook for Thursday. As you can see most of the action for Thursday was in the Oklahoma / Texas Panhandle.

Friday SPC Briefing
Shown here is the SPC outlook for Friday. As you can see most of the action for Friday was in the NW Oklahoma ,SW Kansas area.

Saturday SPC Briefing
Shown here is the SPC outlook for Saturday. As you can see the action for Saturday was spread out across most of the plains.

Shown here are the SPC Reports for all three days of the outbreak.

Saturday Recap
On Saturday many tornadoes touched down all across the plains. This was the main day for the outbreak after all. The SPC had issued a High Risk are for Eastern Nebraska and western Iowa along with central Kansas and Oklahoma. Immediately surrounding these areas were Moderate Risk and Slight risk areas. This SPC forecast would turn out to be incorrect. Storms fired in Western Oklahoma and moved NE into Central and West Kansas. At the same time some storms popped up in Nebraska but nothing severe developed all day. For Brandon Copic , Aaron Rigsby and Micheal Hollinger ,staying in Salina Kansas was a good play. They intercepted the bulk of the storms in Western Kansas as other chasers did also. The storms eventually started trialling eastward one of which dropped a tornado only a couple miles from Greensburg Kansas ,A town that in 2005 was completely destroyed by an EF-5 Night tornado. Thankfully this missed the town but there were storms bearing down on other towns at the time. .This day in all had over 100 Tornado reports.
